# DLEDB Methodology

Canonical page: https://dledb.com/methodology

DLEDB is a monthly intelligence layer for daily-game websites. A monthly dataset is processed once and reused for static rankings, category views, game profiles, historical charts, growth, and rank calculations.

## Interpretation rules

- Traffic values are third-party estimates for complete hostnames.
- They are directional comparisons, not audited analytics or individual-game player counts.
- The same monthly snapshot is reused across pages so figures remain internally consistent.
- Growth requires comparable data for consecutive editions.
- Games without traffic data remain valid catalog entries.
- Categories and collections support discovery; collections are editorial rather than ranked.
